Dr. Rachel Hummel was born in Texas but grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, followed by a Master's degree in Biology at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Family Practice Residency at the University of Illinois in Peoria, IL. Her Sports Medicine training was completed in Toledo, Ohio where she worked with the University of Toledo, Toledo Storm ECHL hockey team, Toledo Mudhens baseball team, a local high school, and community athletes.
In addition to her love for sports medicine, Dr. Hummel has a strong interest in women's health and preventative medicine.
She recently moved to the area from the Midwest with her husband Kyle and is excited to join our community. When she is not taking care of patients and athletes she enjoys hiking, running and listening to jazz with her husband.
