080912_singer002Please help us welcome Nicole Singer, PA-C to Carolina Family Practice & Sports Medicine. Nicole will be seeing patients this month.

Nicole grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia and graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/Cardiac Rehabilitation.  At Ithaca College, Nicole was on the Dean’s list and served as the founding president and member of the women’s rugby club.  Nicole continued her education in Physician Assistant Studies and received a Master’s degree from KCOM/Arizona School of Health Sciences.  Nicole received the  PA Faculty Award given to a graduating PA student.

Following PA school Nicole worked in New Jersey in a busy family practice clinic before moving with her husband to Iowa where they lived for almost 10 years. While in Iowa, Nicole worked as a solo practitioner in a rural town for six years. During that time, she participated in several community activities including assisting on the sidelines during high school football games, other high school sporting events, and served on the school’s wellness committee.  After six years in the rural clinic, Nicole worked for a private gynecology clinic before she and her family relocated to the Triangle area in the fall of 2011. She has been working for Duke Urgent Care and is excited to be returning to family practice.

Nicole is married to Jeremy Singer, a scientist working in Biotechnology. They have two daughters and live in Cary.  Nicole loves to run, ski, read, and spend time with her family.  She and her husband love introducing their children to new places and adventures when they travel.
